About This Project

Every New Year's Eve, the Times Square ball drop runs on engineering almost nobody sees. This NothingButTech production, hosted by Jacklyn Dallas, went inside that system — the technology and the people who make the world's most-watched sixty seconds work.

Access-driven stories like this one are unrepeatable: the shoot happens when the access happens. The film delivers a genuine behind-the-scenes look at an event most audiences only ever see from the outside.

For NothingButTech's audience of engineers and technology enthusiasts, the appeal is precise: how the crystal panels, the LEDs, the drive system, and the people running them come together on a deadline the whole world watches live.

Our Approach

Beshoy Saad was videographer, editor, and colorist. Documentary access means shooting decisively in found conditions — real locations, working environments, and available light handled with a run-and-gun kit that doesn't slow the story down.

The edit balances explanation with spectacle, and the grade unifies footage captured across very different environments into one coherent film.
